What Is This Place?
This is the official Renegade's Redemption wiki, created and maintained by the series' author, stainedglassthreads. It is intended as an encyclopedia for the world of Renegade's Redemption and all related series, which both the author and any readers can refer to for accurate, organized information. Presently it is under construction. Thank you for your patience. Please refrain from editing yourself until the wiki has been fully opened.
Renegade's Redemption is a series of character-driven epic fantasy stories, set in the same world across several thousand years. It follows the trials and tribulations of a small pantheon of Gods, as they interact with the changing world around them. Presently there are four series planned: Dust, Dawn, Disillusion, and Incarnation.

Appearance
Elian is consistently described as appearing broad and fat, with tanned skin which is covered with scars, though anyone who fights Elian hand-to-hand notices significant muscle beneath his fat. Elian is taller than Talon and Nania. He has brown, wavy hair which he tends to wear long, as is the custom in Gresha, with a prominent scar on his left cheek. By the end of volume 2 of Dust, his right hand bears extensive scarring. His natural eye-color as a human is hazel, but once becoming a Hallow, his irises become red while his pupils become gold. He is not good at growing facial hair. While living in Gresha he wears a red skirt and armor made from the carapace of a massive Hercules Beetle, but as a Hallow he wears plain leather armor.

Crown Ruuthelaine, also known as the Sun Fiend, is the main protagonist of the Renegade's Redemption series. She first appears in Dust as an antagonistic figure in the Greshan and Angran cultures, but later reveals herself as Elian's fickle and enigmatic patron, sometimes helping or hindering him seemingly on a whim.
Appearance
The Sun Fiend is described as looking like a human woman, with short, dark hair and prominent muscles. Her teeth are sharpened into fangs, and her fingernails and toenails into claws. She possesses bright red irises and golden glowing pupils.
Personality
Background
Relationships
Ruuthelaine is Elian's mentor. Occasionally, she will alternately help or hinder him, showing she has some interest in him, specifically.
Myths details how the Sun Falcon chases the Fiend across the sky every day, resting only at night. It can be assumed that the two are mortal enemies.
Talon blames her for the death of his little sister and wants to kill her.

There are two types of Gods in the world of Renegade’s Redemption: Crowns and Hallows. Crowns are greater gods, and the only beings capable of resurrecting the dead, granting immortality, or conferring divine status upon another. Being Gods of Life, all Crowns are capable of wielding this ‘Life magic’, the closest thing to truly unrestricted magic that exists. They are born from the universe itself, not ascended or created.
Hallows are lesser gods, though they can have a wider variety of domains. Most Hallows used to be human, though Crowns are also capable of promoting animals to godhood, or creating new lifeforms entirely. Hallows will develop powers based on pre-existing interests, skills, or personality traits.
Both Crowns have enormous souls. This has a number of advantages for them, from being exceptionally long-lived, to being able to go longer without food or sleep, to being able to wield magic to a much more impressive degree than any human.
Crowns and Hallows are capable of appearing human, but their glowing pupils and pointed ears often make it hard to hide their divine nature. While Hallows can only change their forms to very minor extents, the abilities of a Crown are less restrictive. Not only can a Crown control a limited number of human or animal vessels and even recreate destroyed ones, a Crown can also appear in its ‘trueborn form’, and control its size to some extent. If a Crown appears in its Trueborn form, it concentrates a sizable portion of its power in one vessel, forsaking any lesser vessels. Such a vessel is much harder to heal or recreate if it is destroyed.

Gresha City is a City-State in the world of Renegade's Redemption.
Kings of Gresha
The three most powerful people in Gresha City are the King, the Head Priestess, and the Army Head. Often, these three are related, but they are not always allied.
The King of Gresha must be a 'Crown-son', or the honorary son of Crown Naruune. There are two ways for someone to become a Crown-Son--either they must be the biological son of the previous King and the Head Priestess, or they must prove they have a Crown's favor somehow. Lordrin was born to the previous King and to Head Priestess Forya, but lost the favor when Elian challenged him to a duel and gained the favor of 'Crown Ruuthelaine'.
Diplomatic Relations
Citizens of Gresha City tend to have great prejudice towards the Angra in the neighboring wastelands. They routinely kidnap Angran warriors for their Rites of Sunset.
Gresha City has friendly relations with the Yìn Kingdom in the Heishanese Mountains, and the Merides Islands to the south. Diplomats from the two nations are regularly invited to Gresha's Harvest Festival.
Location and Description
Gresha City is a large coastal city, placed in the fertile land where the Ter River meets the ocean. To its east are the Angran Wastelands, while to its west, across the Ter, are the Deep Woods. The Heishan mountains are noted as being somewhere in the north, where the Ter River originates.
Gresha's climate is extremely hot and wet. It has two seasons, the Sun Season, which is very dry, and the Moon Season, which is more temperate with a lot of rain.
Culture
Gresha is a prosperous coastal city, and typically gets its food from wheat farms, vegetable farms, and fishing. Soups and flatbreads are mentioned as being some of their cuisine, and it is considered polite to eat with one's hands, at it shows the food is very tasty.
A major center of Gresha is its Temple, which is governed by the Head Priestess, and has many duties involving conducting rituals for the city's safety and organizing major festivals. Crown Naruune and Hallow Zaya are the chief deities
History of Gresha
It is said in Fereshteh's story that Gresha was founded by Crown Naruune, as a place for humans to live where they would be protected from the Sun Fiend. However, portions of Fereshteh's story prove to be either hyperbole, or blatant exaggeration. Little is said by actual Greshans about how the city was founded.
Lordrin mentions, at some point in the past, that the Sun Fiend's forces leveled Gresha and destroyed the first dynasty. His ancestors rebuilt Gresha at this time, and became the second dynasty of Gresha City.
